Good day BHW,

I found myself answering a bunch of people's questions quite thoroughly in this section of the forum to only realize that not everyone is probably gonna read my answers. So why not start an AMA?

I hope to inspire/ motivate people to take action on YouTube:)

Ask me anything regarding the following topics (credits to @Takurah for this list)
  • Content Creation
  • Keywords
  • Proper Titles
  • Traffic sourcing
  • Fake view boosting
  • Back Linking
  • Editing Software
  • Niche Finding
  • What to film/edit/make next?
  • Why things go viral.
  • Basic Algorithms
  • Collaborations
  • Camera
  • Lighting
  • Monetizing your Youtube Channel

All that and any of that plus more.

Here are a few questions I've answered already:

Q: If I bought subs+ views and reached monetization criteria, will my channel get monetized?
A: A lot more details are factored when it comes to monetizing your channel. I ll layout my process of how someone i know monetizes their channel and has actually done it for me too.
1) aged YT account
2) i branded the account, actually created a profile pic/ banner/ created twitter page as well to link it with.
3) posted 3 videos; 2 10 min long ones, and 1 2 hour long one- similar niche, commentary/ screen record type videos.
4) Buying subs is easy, im not gonna recommend an SMM panel though but justbuy 1k.
5) as for teh watch hours, my friend has his guy bot the watch time on his 2 hour long video.
6) apply for monetization; receive acceptance after 2-3 weeks.

Now this is the general criteria I follow after I receive approval:
1) Keep videos public until more than 10 new videos are posted.
2. dont change primary owner for another 6 months
3. NEVER turn on monetization for the watch hours video
4. Dont change passwords for a couple of months
5. dont change emails for a couple of months
6. It???s OKAY to monetize new videos on the channel that you post.

--------

Q: If my YouTube account was connected to a banned adsense acccount, is it still okay for me to connect another adsense account to it?
A: From what I've learned from google reps through chat is this:
Channel A is connected to Adsense A.
Adsense A gets banned, but Channel A is still monetizable.
You are still allowed to connect Channel A to Adsense B.

If the reasons why Adsense A got banned though is BECAUSE of YouTube activity, then youre gonna need to fix your youtube to abide by YouTube policies. If you don't, then you would then be putting Adsense B at harm.
If the reasons why Adsense A got banned is NOT because of YouTube activity, then connecting Channel A to Adsense B should be perfectly fine.

You'll know if Adsense A got banned because of Channel A if you receive a notification or copyright strike or etc. that it was related to youtube activity.

Looking forward to answering your questions during this quarantine time.

idk what happened to the quote. But i quoated, that you set the videos to private / untlisted for 1-3 days, to check if a copyright infringement comes up and if not you set them to public

do you still do this for every video you upload?

thanks a lot, learned many new things!
Now a days, I always just upload as unlisted and wait until it's finished processing to see if any copyright claims arise.

If you were starting out, would you buy an already monetized channel or start from scratch?
In order here's my preference.
1) aged monetized channel
2) monetized new channel
3) non monetized aged channel
4) non monetized new channel

In the past it was possible to put direct affiliate link in the description/comment section without being deleted same goes for a page with locked content. Now it works oy with landing page with CTA Button that goes to the actual aff link or page with content locker so is there any way to put direct link again without being deleted? I've heard that a fresh domain with simple redirect works, what is youe experience?
Sorry to say but i have zero experience with CPA+ YouTube. I just don't see the longevity in doing it.

A youtuber told me that it???s better to put stock footages to show youtube it???s your own video.
Stock footage definitely doesnt hurt.

Would you suggest to buy watch hours and subs for a personal long term fitness channel until it gets monetized, to help the grow? Because you know, monetized channel get better exposure.
If not, the road to the monetization is really long for a new channel..
If yes, it would be risky to do it?
If you're going a personal, brand approach, then monetization should be the secondary goal. personal brand channels should be monetizing via digital products, coaching/ consultation services, or affiliate marketing. Adsense will come naturally as an added bonus.

I'm running a personal long term YT channel as well but im not worried about monetization because that's not gonna be my main source of income. I sell digital products and coaching/ consultation services even with less than 200 subs. It's very awesome. just provide value, get monetized the natural way, organic way. Think of monetization as an added bonus:)

Thanks for ama what would you suggest

Buying a aged account or starting with brand new channel ?
Depends for what purpose. If you want a personal long term channel, then go with brand new or aged- it doesnt matter.

If you're looking to run viral video channels, go with aged.

You've completely baffled me unfortunately Im sorry i cant be of help regarding why link shortener seems to be your bread and butter. Im sure you have more questions on YouTube other than that though!

How to improve suggested views?
Make similar videos and have similar metadata. but most importnatly,
Have a click through rate of 15% or higher and a watch time of 40% or higher.

Your english is fine. I wouldnt worry about deleting other videos. Worry about making quality videos yourself and focus on yourself.

I get a lot of people copying my videos all the time but the time spent trying to take down their videos could be put to better use.

All of mine that have taken off didn't even have the best CTR or watch time- but they ALL have been over 10% CTR and 40% retention.

A few questions to consider for you:
1) how long are your videos?
2) is your niche actually "viral" content?
3) are there are lot of videos in your niche?
4) Where is most of your current traffic coming from?
5) 15-20% CTR and 60% retention but how many views roughly?

2. yes definitely
3. yes very competetive
4. browse features and youtube search
5. new videos usually around 100-500 views and videos that are a few weeks only have around 3k

Hey @wengthemeng - I have now uploaded more than 10 videos and have more than matched the 4k watch hours purchased originally. I know you mentioned in your original post it will now be okay to unlist/put to private the original videos used to get monetized, but something makes me nervous about doing so. Can you reassure me it will not harm my channel? They are gaming clips and don't relate to the channel so hiding them would be ideal.

This really interests me. Would you feel comfortable actually showing me your channel so I can take a closer look via PM? At this point i may not know the answer but it may be worth a try having someone from the outside maybe notice something that you're not noticing lol.

I watch your yt channel quite a lot. You answer most of the questions there. Thank you for that.
AYEEEE!!! thanks a lot. I spend quality time creating the content and to have at least 1 person find the content beneficial is great!

Im a little lost of what you're referring to. So you have a channel that was botted to get monetized. At this point, I would keep those as nonmonetized, and then start uploading videos that CAN be monetized.

It does depend on your supplier though. I've done this method which works but sometimes it still gets the channel demonetized though. Sorry i cant assure you 100% i just do what usually works for me and my clients.

I mean as in the method of getting monetized with an SMM. It's what you reference on doing? I did this method. The original videos I used to become monetized are still on my channel not monetized - you state on your original post that after uploading 10 videos afterwards and reaching over 4k watchtime organically - it should be okay to remove them. I have uploaded more than 10 monetized videos now. Can you confirm it is okay to remove them based on your experience?

Hello Bro, so my Channel is about Tutorial and free tricks and i have only left with 16000 watch minutes to complete my monetization criteria.

So just after completing my criteria if i would submit my application for monetization will be it be accepted or not

Or should i wait for some time and then apply for monetization

This is my channel

Looking for your reply thanks in advance.

Are you checking your search results in incognito mode? Your CTR or watch time may not be good enough at that point. What do you average?

if the REAL, letgit videos have actually accumulated over 4k hours watch time, then yes i would remove the botted ones and get rid of them!

Hey bud so if you have 4000 hours watch time, and 1000 subscribers, apply and see if you get accepted. It's really as simple as that! Google will ultimately have the say on this but at least the worst thing that could happen is just a rejection. Aint anything bad.

Go on Incognito mode, search for your title and you should be able to find your video. If you cannot, it means your video is not indexed yet or maybe your account is shadowbanned in some way.
