I am trying to post a tool which could be of use to members on this forum for free and open-source; yet I am unable to post because I get the error: "Your content can not be submitted. This is likely because your content is spam-like or contains inappropriate elements."

Here is what my post looks like:
Section I am trying to post in: Black Hat Seo -> Proxies

Admin removed image.

Do I need to post 15 posts before I am able to share this program with others or is there something wrong with my posts (hence the spam-like error)?

I understand that this feature was implemented to protect users but I don't have time to make 15 posts, even so after considering that my post has nothing but good intentions.

Could this feature be changed to allow github links?

Thank You! :)

Thanks for taking the time to post this. For clarity, I've removed the image as essentially you're getting around the filter by posting an image of what you're triggering the spam traps with.

For guidance, the first post on the forum on the day you sign up should be an introductory thread getting to know the members on BHW and letting them know more about you. This was part of the initial welcome pm sent to you.

Thinking about it logically - and to use an old adage - you don't try and get married on your first date.

Some pointers for your first 15 on BHW - in no particular order.

1. You "go fishing" let people know your interests, something about you that they can engage with (introductory post). Check out their posts to see if you're on the same wavelength.

2. Show them you're interested in the same things (join a conversation within a subforum you're interested in)

3. And engage with them - follow up with posts you've engaged on through the notifications into your alerts. When posting a reply you can choose to follow the thread, subforum or forum and be notified each time there is action in the area you're following.

4. Manage the notifications you receive. When you become more engaged around BHW there maybe some threads or forums you don't want to be notified about anymore. Stick with sections you're interested in or want to learn more about. There are literally millions of posts on BHW allowing the ability to show you're like-minded people. Find influencers.

5. Follow people that are engaged in the community and have similar tastes and interests to you through the follow function.

6. Totaly disagree with someones thought process or they just rub you up the wrong way? - add them to your people you ignore list.

7. Engagement Pro tip
- click on someone's username - you can choose how you want to engage with them here - to follow - or unfollow there.

8. Stay engaged with the users that you've followed when they move off thread, through your personal news feed. It's just like the homepage feed but dedicated to the people you follow. Don't stalk them though - that's just weird!

9. Post post and post again - not spam please but engage in the conversation. Nothing happening in your feed? Jump on the homepage and check out what's happening right now on BHW and - yep you guess it - post again. Join the conversation. Remember don't troll and if you see any trolling hit the report button and give the rule that you see being breached -

10. PRO TIP - ever wanted to become a mod? Quality reporting is something we look at when reviewing your application.

11. Checking the rules and not trying to sell something on the first post is a good idea as well. This is the main reason we end up handing out bans. Please don't sell outside the marketplace - you will be banned, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow..... But soon and for the rest of your life you'll be banned from BHW.

12. Don't have the requisite post count but still want to advertise to the BHW membership? Why not visit our advertise on BHW page and download the BHW advertising deck to see what suits your budget. Items available from under $90

Doing all this, I don't think we're giving away our secret sauce here, will ensure that you have an engaged time on the forum.

Needs to be stickied and hopefully every new member will read.

I saw that message on my pm without any reason.

I m just trying to reply one of them.

I understand the situation of "advertising rules" and security purposes, but -in my opinion- users must be categorized from the first day.

(Sorry if it's not the right place here).

Have a nice day.
