They will be valuable if they get upvotes, comments and traffic to your site (regardless of whether they are do-follow or nofollow).

I sell reddit links, and have used them for a long time now, so I speak from experience. (Do-Follow links)

Reddit links can work very well in some situations, and very badly in others.

If you???re going for a low comp keyword they can help significantly, or if your looking to increase your site metrics.

They are great for diversity too.

However, if you???re trying to chase a high competition keyword with a bunch of reddit links, you won???t get very far.

I don't know if they do but if your post on any big subreddits garners some attention and upvotes, you eventually get quality backlinks from other related sites. Certainly, these extra backlinks will help in improving your chances to rank.

From your experience should they be visible in ahrefs and how soon after posting? I am adding backlinks through the subreddit moderation widgets - txt and buttons (in empty subreddit), plus regulary as post and links. But, i dont see any in ahrefs. Am I doing simething wrong? What is the best way?

I think I've answered you before, but I'll just say it again incase anyone else is interested.

Ahrefs takes it sweet time to pick up these links, you can tier these links to get them indexed on ahrefs but there really isn't a point of doing this (if solely just to get it indexed on ahrefs).

Ahrefs is not google. As long as these links show up on GSC then you should be good.

Yes, if its do-follow and for a low competitive keyword, but i suggest to also focus on other types of links and diversify the backlink profile.

Dont use ahref only. Use other backlink checkers such as semrush, linkody or mangools, and then cross the backlink data : several links will be found by one checker only. And use GSC too...

Reddit links are excellent for indexing stubborn links (Links that ain't getting indexed over a long period of time).
