This is true, but when it comes to google serp; it is hard to classify a mistake as a mistake. That makes the game tougher, I think. For example, you might not be penalised even if you made a mistake. On another blog, you might be penalised for some neg seo that you didn't obviously do to yourself. On a third blog, you might rank for no reason whatsoever. As @VSYNC pointed out, there are no rules. That's pretty hard to digest as a seo/imer. I do not care about it a lot, because I have other revenue streams, but I feel sorry for those who do. No wonder @bartosimpsonio calls google retarded.
Care to share what your other means of revenue are? haha

You are competing with millions of other people, no matter what you try to do. There are limited SERPs positions, limited user views, limited etc etc

There are no rules.

Maybe a person needs to fail to learn so they are more experienced than other people, they might eventually make $100,000 per year.

Maybe a person might think outside the box, dedicate weeks to reading up on others who have gone down the same path, learn from other peoples' mistakes, and without failure earn $200,000 per year.

Another person might have $500,000 funding to start a business, keep making mistakes, not learn from them, and the business might completely fail.

There's no rules. If you want to compete you can't think like you have to do this or you have to do that. You create the rules.

The people that really want to win will win - maybe they fail along the way, maybe they're cunning and they don't need to, but if you give up when you fail you guarantee that you'll never do anything you're proud of because people always mistake failure for the end of the road, when it's just a time to pause and rethink the plan of attack.
I'll try to start thinking like you Boss

Don't get too far ahead of yourself. My brain is uniquely capable of dealing with the extreme volume of thought that I process. Most people would turn into vegetables if they even tried to think like me for longer than fraction of a second.

Just start by focusing on the knowledge that there is no spoon. That's a good starting point.

Failure will teach you different methods, different techniques and what to do and what not to do.

So failure is a must to succeed

I started blogging few weeks ago, new domain and I'm struggling to post fresh/unique contents every ones in few days, its a programming/datascience niche so posting on a daily basis isn't easy..

It is kind of discouraging seeing people from here announcing how many times they failed before finally getting things right. Does it mean that there aren't people who got it right the first time and continued to thrive afterwards?
Why has failure before success been Normalized in this community?

Some of us don't have the luxury of failing and trying again, because we are starting with all we have, and that "all we have" is Nothing.

Exist but it's the minority, and usually they have experienced sucessfull IM as personal mentor..

Why has failure before success been Normalized in this community?
Because there is no master answer how to grow our site correctly, what content to write?, where and how to promote? etc
there are no choice other than doing failing ,and doing again.
And it's the same for any business or investment that exist.
(Failure is not a end result, it's just part of the journey. So you shouldn't make failure as End Result)

Funny that I realised now that getting success in first shot may actually not be a good thing. Success at first try is more of a luck and it makes one lazy. You will see here stories of many people who succeeded but wasted that money and opportunity and are trying again. Failure is a great teacher, I believe success forged from failure lasts longer.

Not always. The first app I made brought me $200 per day. The first website I made could rank on Google for #1.

Simply make sure you do everything correctly. Most important: You need patience.

Without commitment, you'll never start. Without consistency, you'll never finish. Keep it in mind.
